About the Music Festival
The Mackinac Island Music Festival was created to bring a wide variety of musical opportunities to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Since starting in the summer of 2004, the Mackinac Arts Council has presented concerts at various Island locations that have included prestigious local, statewide, and nationally acclaimed music artists. These artists have covered a wide range of musical genres including folk, bluegrass, classical, Broadway, jazz and country, to name a few.
The Mackinac Music Festival began as a one-day event, and in 2006, expanded to a three-day festival, as an outcome of past popularity and success. The festival has found considerable recognition since its beginnings, and has become one of Mackinac Island's most exciting festivals of the season.
This festival would not have grown to what it is today without the generosity of donors and volunteers, who have pledged their help in many ways. We are always in need of support for our lectures, workshops, and other special events programming. For more information on how to help, please contact us at: info@mackinacartscouncil.org. If you would like to volunteer your time, please contact our volunteer coordinator at volunteers@mackinacartscouncil.org
